We offer many other services to complete the funeral, some of which are listed below:

DONATIONS

Many clients now suggest donations to a charity instead of flowers; in that event, we will gladly receive donations, provide the family with a list of all those who have contributed, and ensure that the cheques safely reach the chosen charity. We offer the facility for you to make donations via our website (coming soon).

FLORAL TRIBUTES

We can arrange on your behalf, flowers for the funeral. Through Lucie, our dedicated independent florist, we offer all types of tributes, including special designs to meet your particular needs and wishes. The benefits of ordering flowers through Lucie are that you will be assured of both quality and service, and of having the cost placed on the final account. Flowers may be ordered through our online facility (coming soon).

SERVICE SHEETS

At some funerals we are asked to arrange for "Order of Service" sheets to be printed. We are more than happy to do this in consultation with the family and the Minister. Our printers are also an independent family business with a regard for high quality and low cost. You may include as many photographs and designs as you wish and service sheets may be in black and white, sepia or full colour. We can help with suggestions for music, poetry and readings.

NEWSPAPER NOTICES

If you wish, we shall be pleased to assist you to compile death announcements for submission to local and national newspapers. With every funeral that we conduct, we include, within the cost, the placing of a standard sized death notice in the local paper for one insertion. It is also common practice now to place a notice of thanks after the funeral and we are, of course, able to assist with this.

CATERERS

We can arrange for highly recommended caterers to supply and deliver refreshments, ranging from simple cold snacks to a full hot meal of your choice to your home or any other venue for as small or large a number as required. Service and loan of crockery can also be provided. We are also able to help and advise on local venues for after funeral gatherings. We are well respected by local venues and can often negotiate very good terms on behalf of our clients.

DISTANCE FUNERALS

Funerals to or from any part of the country present no difficulties to us, at Miles and Daughters we are experienced in arranging and conducting funerals anywhere in the United Kingdom. Adam Miles is also fully trained in international repatriation and we are able to arrange repatriation to any country in the world quickly, easily and at the lowest possible cost.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
