This was sadly my second experience of having to use a funeral directors. I went back to Irene at Miles & Daughters, Crowthorne because of the excellent service I had from her last time. She did not disappoint and it felt like going back for help from an old friend. Having been through the loss of my dad with her and now my mum, it really helped me to see a familiar face at such a sad time. Irene and her team are empathetic, kind, caring and the communication is extremely efficient. All the proceedings on the day were so professional, everything ran very smoothly and the celebrant, Trish Goswell, was excellent. I would absolutely recommend.

Miles & Daughters were amazing when my Dad sadly passed away. Irene was kind, empathetic, and patient. She took the time to explain everything, and guided us through each step with genuine compassion. Her support was invaluable, and we truly felt she cared about getting everything just right. We will always be grateful that we chose Irene and Miles & Daughters to help us say goodbye to Dad.
Colin, our celebrant, was also exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to lead the service and help us celebrate Dad’s life. He brought warmth, dignity, and a reassuring presence. His delivery was thoughtful and engaging throughout, striking a balance between reflection and celebration. Everything ran smoothly, and we felt completely supported.
Together, with Irene and Colin, Miles & Daughters made an incredibly difficult experience more bearable, and we will always be thankful for their kindness and professionalism.

I would highly recommend Miles&Daughters. My daughters lost their dad and we were looking for funeral directors who would help us organise Celebration of Life that was unusual. Dave was a music fanatic with dark sense of humour. The Funeral Home and the Celebrant helped us organise the most fitting service. Thank you all for your kindness, understanding and support during those difficult times.

We used Miles and Daughters when our dad passed away, and it was a no-brainer to engage them again when our beloved mum died. It was a good decision: they gave her the most beautiful and dignified goodbye that we could have wished for. Lisa (at the Whitley branch) was a pleasure to work with: empathetic, responsive, and professional throughout the entire funeral planning process. She created an Order of Service that perfectly captured the essence of our mum, patiently walked us through the logistics of the day, showed us how we could help carry the coffin if we wanted to, and generally supported us in a respectful and caring way with whatever we needed during this sad time. It was a huge comfort. We will always be grateful we chose Miles and Daughters to help us say our final goodbye to our parents.
