This website is intended to describe some of the services that we offer and to give information that may be required. It is of course impossible to cover all eventualities and situations in any website, but if you would like further advice on any particular point, please feel free to telephone, email, write or call, all our details are on the Contact Us page. We provide a 24 hour service every day of the year and you can be assured of immediate personal help and advice at all times. Our motto: "Our Family Serving Your Family" is important to us and relevant in everything that we do to serve the community. We are here at all times to serve you.
Miles and Daughters is very much a fully independent, family owned and run service synonymous with all that is best in funeral direction. The services and facilities provided at our prestigious premises in Reading, Winnersh, Bracknell, Crowthorne and Twyford have been carefully and thoughtfully developed to provide a combination of immediate attention, personal care, efficiency and professionalism.
When called upon to arrange a funeral, complete responsibility is taken to guide you through the procedures which have to be followed, we will deal with all the formalities and legal requirements ensuring relatives have no more to worry about than is absolutely necessary at this difficult time.
The funeral service is a testimony to a person's life. As well as a recognition that this unique and special individual has died, it is one of the first steps for a family in coming to terms with their loss. Miles and Daughters recognise that the funeral is special for each individual family and strive to ensure that every funeral is individual and special, paying particular attention to cultural and religious beliefs.
At Miles and Daughters we pride ourselves on our experience and professional ability to arrange or assist with the traditional funeral rites and customs of many cultures and religious beliefs.
We are also aware that many families have concerns regarding the cost of funerals and have therefore provided a system whereby anyone can gain an immediate, anonymous and accurate estimate for a funeral.
Our family endeavours to be as helpful and thoughtful as possible. Although we are available for immediate personal attention at all times of the day or night and every day of the year, for those who cannot or do not wish to attend our offices, we have designed an online funeral arrangement form. This form, believed to be the only one of its type in the UK, allows our clients to make every decision regarding a funeral service, in the comfort of their own home.
Within this website we have endeavoured to explain, in some detail the services we provide, and to describe the facilities available to every client. We hope that we have given information which may help you through this difficult time. There is, naturally, no substitute for personal service and we would invite you to call at any time of the day or night, where a member of our family is always available, should you require any help or advice.

Increasingly people are making their own funeral arrangements in order to make things easier for those left behind.
Throughout history, it has been the custom to honour the memory of those we love by erecting a lasting memorial.
It is becoming increasingly popular for familes to have a private funeral service followed by a later remembrance service.
We are able to supply a large choice of funeral vehicles to suit every taste. Please click on the links below to see more information.
We have available, fleets of new Jaguar XJ and classic Rolls Royce funeral vehicles.
Miles and Daughters are pleased to offer our vintage vehicles for use by our clients.
In addition to horse drawn funerals we offer a wide range of bespoke funeral transport.
In order to provide the best possible service for our clients, we have established five separate funeral homes, based in Reading, Winnersh(Wokingham), Binfield (Bracknell), Twyford and Crowthorne.
Each of our premises include private offices for families to make funeral arrangements, together with purpose built and fully equipped areas to ensure your loved one is cared for with respect and dignity.
Our Dedicated Chapels of Rest are available at all times for your convenience to provide peaceful surroundings to say a final goodbye. Reading, Winnersh, Bracknell and Crowthorne have large chapels and Twyford has a smaller, more intimate chapel. We provide an environment where you and your family can spend time together peacefully and privately. Often, the bereaved find comfort in placing a memento of personal significance with the deceased such as a letter, photograph, or a flower from the garden. We will gladly do this for you if you prefer not to visit the chapel personally
If required we can usually arrange free transport to our premises for you to make arrangements and visit the chapels. Alternatively we are happy to visit you at your home at no extra cost, to make the arrangements at a time convenient to you. At Miles and Daughters our aim is to assist you in every way that we can, so please do not hesitate to ask.
